Landry says he didn't have a good relationship with Tannehill

The shots keep coming and the peek behind the curtain of Tannehills career is looking like a carnival side show.

It just shows you what I've been saying about Tannehill being a shitty person and a awful leader is all true.

We have the worst QB in the NFL if you ask me. And the worst GM. And the worst Coach.

We need a total rebuild.  Everyone needs to go.

Landry Really need to
STFU!

He's on a new team.
He has his Big Pay Day.
Shut Up Already!

Ex-Dolphins receiver Jarvis Landry, for some reason, can't stop talking about Ryan Tannehill

Chris Perkins Contact Reporter Sun Sentinel

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry said Wednesday he never had a good relationship with Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill and he’s not surprised he hasn’t heard from Tannehill since Miami traded him to Cleveland.

“I'm not surprised,” Landry said in reference to not hearing from Tannehill

“We didn't really have a good relationship anyway, so I'm not surprised.”

Last week Landry, traded to the Browns in March, raised eyebrows in an interview with the Cleveland Plain Dealer when he referred to Cleveland’s plans to use him.

Some thought Landry, Tannehill’s teammate for four seasons, was taking a shot at Tannehill when he ended a quote by saying his situation in Cleveland is “a lot better than what I had in Miami.”

Landry, in an interview posted on Cleveland.com, said, “I think [Cleveland offensive coordinator] Todd [Haley] is going to give me the opportunities I need to … not show off my talents, but the things that I can do.

I believe that I'm a complete receiver all-around.

“Do I lack speed? Yeah, but a lot of guys lack speed. [Oakland’s] Jordy Nelson lacks speed, but he goes over 1,000 yards. The quarterback play is so important, which has got me that much more excited about Tyrod [Taylor] and [Baker Mayfield] and the way that they're throwing the ball out here, it makes me that much more excited. It's a lot better than what I had in Miami. I'm excited about that.”

Landry, in Wednesday’s interview, was asked whether it was fair to say he’d previously said his group of quarterbacks in Cleveland — Taylor, Mayfield and Drew Stanton — was better than what he had in Miami, and Taylor gathering players for preseason workouts was something that didn’t happen in Miami.

“Yes,” Landry replied.

It should be noted Tannehill has gathered players for preseason workouts over the years and Landry participated.

It was then said to Landry that he apparently doesn’t mind looking in the rearview mirror and saying those things about his old team?

Landry replied, “I wasn't trying to look back in the rearview mirror, you know. I'm focused on here and where we're taking it here. I wasn't trying to take a shot at him. I understand how hard every guy in this NFL works, especially at the position, especially at the quarterback position. But at the same time, too, you know, I give credit where credit is due.”

Landry isn’t the only former Dolphins player Miami fans have accused of taking a shot at Tannehill.

Mike Pouncey, the former Dolphins center who is now with the Los Angeles Chargers, recently remarked he’s glad to be playing with quarterback Philip Rivers.

“No disrespect to any of the guys in Miami,” he said.

“I enjoyed my career there for seven years with the Miami Dolphins, but to be able to play with an elite guy like this and a Hall of Fame quarterback is something I always dreamed of in my life. I can’t wait.”

Landry shut stfu but I’m not surprised by anything he’s saying.

Landry should thank his lucky stars he had Captain Checkdown as his qb….. nice fat payday as a result.  Landry is just a slot wr who had the luxury of good play calling to benefit him here.   so glad he is gone

I think the most laughable thing I saw in his tenure here was how terrible he was on go routes when we rarely did it, it was rather embarrassing. He couldn't beat Richie Incognito on a go route haha

Landry looks like a real small person doing this. He just received a big payday, so let it go. Now he comes across as bitter, because I could pretty much guarantee that if he signed that ridiculous contract with the Dolphins, he would be saying how great his relationship with Tannehill was and is. Be the bigger person and don't say anything.

I hope Landry doesn't start hating on Taylor/Mayfield in Cleveland for how many targets Josh Gordon is going to take from him...

Njoku is a fucking beast.. He is going to be getting his share of throws.... Coleman is not chopped liver and Duke Johnson is one of the best receiving backs in football. Landry is on a team where he has not business getting the majority of targets... He got 160 targets last season... If Cleveland stays healthy he should not get much more than 100 in Cleveland.
I might not change the world, but I sure won't ever let it change me. P.S.

Yeah Landry will not get near the targets he got here in Miami because Miami had only Stills to throw to besides Landry.

All this shows is how absolutely devoid of talent we are on the Dolphins.

It is not all bad for Landry...

We have talked about this before on this board.... Landry was used poorly in Miami... So many garbage throws at the line of scrimmage...

He may only get 100 targets in Cleveland.. but Haley is not a fucking idiot... He is actually a good play caller.. Landry will be running routes and gaining yards... so 100 targets and 75 catches does not mean Landry cannot get to 1000 yards next season. Because there are so many other quality players around landry there should be room for him to do his thing with the football after the catch. I would not be shocked at all if he averaged 12-14 yards per catch and was close to 1000 yards this season with the browns. But the 160 target bullshit.... Yeah that is over.
I might not change the world, but I sure won't ever let it change me. P.S.
